Meet Paige White: Public School Liaison
Paige White is Dearborn Academy’s new Public School Liaison. She is the liaison with a student’s home district and manages all things IEP-related for Dearborn to support students.
Paige White started her work at Dearborn Academy in 2018 as our high school guidance counselor. After four years in this position, she accepted the role of public school liaison. In this role, she uses her skills to support families and students in meeting their goals. Additionally, she connects with out-of-district coordinators to help build strong working relationships.
Paige earned her degree from Bridgewater State University with a psychology major and a communications minor. She also holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and a license in school counseling for Grades 5-12.
During her time at Dearborn, Paige has run a variety of student clubs, including the multicultural club, film club and student council.
Role of Public School Liaison
What does a public school liaison do? Once a student has been accepted, Paige works with district staff to set up IEP meetings, testing and observations. She facilitates the meetings; works with districts to share the final IEP with parents/guardians; and much more.
